Player A: 23.5 ppg, 9.1 ast, 6.2 reb, 62% TS%

Player B: 25.0 ppg, 8.2 ast, 8.4 reb, 55% TS%
Each of the pts/reb/ast numbers are Harden and Westbrook's, but 25% less of their actual numbers.

So basically if you take 23.5x1.25, 9.1x1.25, and 6.2x1.25, you arrive at Harden's numbers for this season.

Didn't look at player B for Westbrook, but I imagine it's the same.

TS% is vastly skewed by a superior FT shooter, incomplete scenario

It's not skewed. Free throws are points. Much better 3pt shooter too.

What dos the 20% reduction give us? What is the logic behind that?

He is trying to get Westbrook's numbers under a 30 point triple double average

Yep, what is the logic and what was the overriding point of the comparison with those 4 stats?

How the frick can I make a decision when you didnt show me who has the killer instinct, it factor, or mean face that makes it look like they care alot and are a tough guy.

Without those measurable stats, I cant conclude who is better.

Just to try to disguise the players.

I knew if I just posted their stats straight-up then y'all would know instantly who the players are.

That didn't stop people from trying to figure it out anyway.

But at least I was able to disguise it for long enough to get some real answers before someone figured it out.

Yea sorry.

What was the point though? Not of fudging the numbers, but of the entire thing?

Just to see what people thought without their biases and just the numbers.

Sure, but just those 4 numbers are pretty irrelevant in a vacuum.

Not really. It's the 3 stats everyone talks about, plus their efficiency.

Yea, it is. Telling a small part of the story doesn't really help.

Nobody is talking about any other random stats when comparing them. It's all about those 3.

Ok so yea, it's definitely irrelevant then if we're ignoring everything else.

Pretty impressive that a 20% reduction still results in a season average that is historic.
