Bc it was like one month ago. And again if you want to say more prestigious in America it's a different question than worldwide. Worldwide the WC is infinitely more popular

Also if the us won the WC the members of that team would be more memorable than some random member of the 2011 giants team for example

what's more popular here > what's more popular worldwide. SB > WC.

If the USA won I think you'd be wrong. A USA team that won the WC would be more famous than a random SB winning team.

Yep, how else would I remember the names of Briana Scurry, Brandi Chastin, and Mia Hamm

World Cup by far...it's the most prestigious competition for the most popular sport in the world. Not to mention no matter how great you are you get a maximum 3-4 shots at it in your lifetime, the others you could have a shot every year for 10-20 years

I would say Stanley Cup just because if it's history alone. The NHL playoffs are such a grind that it really takes a whole team effort to win it.

I care more about women's soccer than men's, since there are some decent soccer chicks

Partly because the World Cup is only every 4 years

Not really. You may like hockey more and would rather the us win a hockey gold than a WC title, but objectively they aren't even close to the same level. The WC is narrowed down to 32 teams after a two year long qualification process. I doubt there are 32 countries that could even field a hockey team.

It'd be like England claiming the rugby or cricket WC was as prestigious as the WC
