re: Where would prime Randy Moss be in today's WR pecking order?

My favorite Randy Moss game is his Thanksgiving game against Dallas. Dude was about 90 days into his NFL career and had a stat line of: 3 receptions, 163 yards (54.3 yards/catch), and 3 touchdowns. Could have easily had a fourth, but drew a pass interference penalty 50 yards downfield instead.
Insane.
Insane.

Don "Alabama Antelope" Hutson, greatest receiver of all-time and overlooked relative to the millennial generation

How the hell do you not mention Brown? He's been the best WR in the league for like 4 years now. I'd take Moss over him but he's one of the best ever.

Let's not forget TO y'all, first-team all-pro with 3 different teams, helped lead the Eagles to their only Super Bowl appearance in team history, tons of touchdowns

#1, and it's not even close.

Moss is AJ Green but faster and a better deep threat. He'd easily be #1.

No he wasn't.
Because GOAT isn't about deep threat freak.
GOAT is about dependibility, going over the middle, the little catches as well as the homerun. Not having alligator arms when you hear footsteps.
Rice made a career of going over the middle in front of linebackers back when they could take your head off and taking them to the house.
Moss made a career of sideline fly patterns...and avoiding traffic.
Moss is Goat homerun hitter over Cliff Branch and nobody could cover him deep but he's not on the level of overall best receiver like Rice who did everything well, didn't hide from defenders and didn't take plays off.
This is such a fricking stupid line of thinking. It's the equivalent of saying the Ferrari isn't as good as a cement truck because you don't take a Ferrari in construction zones and use it to do low-level work.
It is the all Shaq could do was dunk and draw fouls and all Steph Curry can do is shoot-style hot take.

Silly, Antonio Brown comes close.
If Antonio Brown keeps up this pace he will be one of the greatest receivers of all time.

If Antonio Brown keeps up this play IMO he will be the GOAT or #2 behind Rice.
Brown is a fricking sick talent.

Anotonio Brown is really, really good, bit Moss is a different animal. He's 6'4 and would be one of the fastest guys in the league. With the way the rules are now RM would be able to run by every db and there would be nothing they could do about it.

Moss was uncoverable when he wanted to be. Problem was half the time he really didn't give a shite.
He's the most talented receiver of all time.

Him, Michael Irvin or Calvin Johnson in terms of talent couldn't cover those guys no matter how hard one tried

All you guys worship at the WR altar of Moss, Owens and Megatron. But in 40 combined years they still have less rings and MVPs than Rice or Hutson individually. They were all flash, but never put their teams over the top or carried a team to anything. All this stuff about playing for a bad team would never fly for a QB..

I'd like to know which 25 receiving records Don Hutson still holds.

That's because it takes a team to win a championship, not one guy.
Joe Montana and the 49ers won their first championship 3 years before Rice even showed up so don't give me that garbage about him putting them over the top.

Then google it. I saw them when I visited the HOF a few years ago. The guy basically invented the position and pass patterns..

I did. He had 18 when he retired in 1945.
Was curious where you got that 25 number from.
