Indy? Boston, Phoenix, Lakers, or Philly? Some other team?

Indications have been Bird doesn't want to move him. But if he doesn't make an all NBA team and qualify for the mega max then the writing is on the wall that he will leave in 2018 as a FA.

It is risky to trade for him since he could leave in a year but most teams listed above aren't FA destinations and could use the year to convince him to stay. Lakers were mentioned a lot as his destination in 2018 at the trade deadline but I think that was just his agents killing his trade value like Boogie's did.

I say Phoenix for a haul of picks and a young player or two.

It's crazy to me that people could watch what George is growing frustrated with in Indy and think he's going to sign with the Lakers in a year. Think Zach Lowe mentioned he grew up a Clippers fan.

Somewhere in the West so he has a chance to make the Finals.

Maybe. If Blake left and they had the cap room to sign PG to go along with Paul and Jordan that's a much better team than the Lakers.

the clips could technically,l have blake, jj and chris wait to sign their contracts, sign pg, then sign the rest of hte crew. they would have a 200 millino dollar payroll but frick it

He wants to play for SVGOD, like most other players in the Association.

Come on home, Paul.

He'll stay a Pacer next year.

The year after, he will be a Laker, or a Pacer, depending on how this year's All-NBA voting turns out.

Its too easy to overthink these things, sometimes.

You have him playing for non competitive teams when he's been outwardly frustrated with not winning.

I have him taking the route of either easily the most money (Pacers) or the consistently best destination for name free agents (Lakers)

As much as I hate LA, they're not going to be bad forever, or even very long-- I wish they were the Knicks, but they aren't.

Paul George is the cornerstone around which their turnaround to contention can begin; you get him, and its a fast build with a few exciting players from the last two lotteries, George, and one more free agent star. That's a pretty easy road to competitiveness at a level Indiana would be hard pressed to match.

Think of the immediate effect, though. Can you imagine CP3 and PG13 running the floor together? Add Deandre Jordan and that's a hell of a contending core.
