When did the Conner vs Floyd fight become black vs white?

Why is it so hard to believe that there are a shite ton of UFC fans now days and seeing what Conner has accomplished there makes them pull for him relentlessly?
I thought it was more of a boxing vs MMA thing personally. It's sad to see people let the media control how they view other races.

I haven't heard a single news/sports outlet mention anything about race in this fight, other than Conor's comments about Floyd being a trained monkey, and even that blew over in like a day.

My main problem was seeing all the beta NBA players who bitch and cry and white knight every time Trump says something mean about a woman openly rooting for a woman beater. Shows that they dont reallllyyyy care about anything except tribal lines.

Probably same reason 99% of blacks that voted, voted for Obama? I think everyone is naturally prejudice and it's certainly not only about color. I actually root for Ohioans over other states. I root for Americans over other countries. I root for underdogs over favorites. I root for history in the making over what was supposed to happen. I don't pretend to be perfect but it's fun to throw the first stone isn't it? I bet you feel so good

This happens anytime there's a big fight between black and white boxers. It's nothing new. Promoters introduce it to stimulate interest and betting on the fight. It works on fans of boxing in particular because they are not exactly the highest-class crowd in sports.
I say this as a lifelong boxing fan. If you want to experience the Mos Eisley Cantina but can't leave the planet, just go to a boxing match. That's the people whose opinions we are talking about here.

Black vs. non-black is a selling point. There's a reason why Floyd loves fighting whites and hispanics....both will buy tickets and PPVs.

I'm white, watch way more MMA than boxing, and wanted Floyd to knock him out. Wish the ref would let him get a couple more shots to the head in before stepping in.
I just extremely dislike McGregor and McGregor fans, and think they are idiots for thinking he could beat one of the GOATs in a boxing ring. Floyd would get demolished in an MMA fight, which played a small part to why he didn't agree to one.

I was pulling for the guy who doesn't hit women. American or not. And trust me Floyds a racist as well as 90% of African Americans whether they admit it or not.
