They really never did. They were usually embracing Tiger, and covered Mickelson sparsely. I'd say for the first time when he won his first major.
ISWYDT. Well played sir.

I don't care about their politics but ESPN has been trending toward being the MTV of sports stations.
Soon, like videos, they won't even show a ton of sports.

I noticed it about 10 years ago.

GeauxTiger, it is not the same thing by any means. Literally every sports channel & ESPN's new sister Channel, CNN, are covering it non stop. Rather hard to ignore when it's in your face all day long. But just consider who ESPN uses as its social justice experts every time a political ..racial usually...comes up: their go to analysts are Hill, Jones, Smith, today Jabar combined with Bugga & Spears on the bamaN. With regards to players' right to pay, it goes straight to Jay Bilas, as liberal a sports journalist as is out there. There is no debate on ESPN, its liberals are all lecturing us. Who is the one/only ? conservative talking head on ESPN: Curt Schilling, who was fired for airing his conservative views on a very divisive issue.

they are in New England not too far from NYC, and they hire a lot of Canadians.
I think they were always left.
Olbermann was a star for them early on.

Disney took a hard left turn about 10 years ago and ESPN has followed suite.
Truth is they probably always were hardcore leftists, but they kept it more on the downlow.
The media has gotten very bold the last 4-5 years in taking off their mask.

You know what is awesome? Only turning on ESPN when it is time to watch a game.
Absolutely this. Outside of Gameday and actual sports broadcasts I don't spend a single second on ESPN. Just a vile network of vile people spouting vile propaganda and TMZ style gossip.

A huge % of the left hates almost everything about America and has had to pretend like they don't for PR reasons.
They sense the political climate has shifted and are now being more open about their true ideology.

I don't even get into that dumb "left" "right" shite. Crazy how so many people talk about that stupid crap. Then they wonder why there are labels. "If you don't like my views, you are WRONG"

What a fricking dipshit
The way shitass liberal whites use black people as a rhetorical tool is appalling.

Posts like this are how I know this site operates in a different reality from the rest of us.
A huge media conglomeration like ESPN and you think a MAJORITY of their employees are BLACK?

I think it is the canadians plus the NYC people.
I grew up near the ESPN HQ
When you get the local news, local weather and sports, they give the Canadian weather too. They had Canadians on from the beginning.
That and the NYC people.
I really like Canadians. They are pleasant.
Blame it on Canada.

I have to admit that when I first saw this thread I immediately thought it was referring to Phil Mickelson.
