I automatically throw anything out that starts with a 300 yard driver average

I assume when someone says 300 they are talking about well struck shot in normal conditions.

T4 Andrew Loupe 308.0
I know this guy is longer then 100% of the people here and his tour avg was 308 on the best (hard and fast) fairways there are

I agree that the yardages are inflated on here but fairways on tour arent hard and fast. The goal for courses for tourneys are soft fairways, hard greens.

I would also argue that his real.average with a driver ain't 308. Probably more like 358.

I agree, 308 isn't driver only shots

Bingo. Measuring 2 holes which tons of guys end up hitting 3w on does not give you a true avg. that's why you see Bubba poke one 370 or Rory 360

All the events I have been to I have seen crews rolling the fairways like greens. These included bayhill, TPC sawgrass, innisbrook

LaTour does this too. They cut the fw's back into the players as well

Tournament conditions always are looking for "fast and firm" these days. Including fairways. At least from events I've seen, worked, and heard from friends (have a ton that work The PLAYERS).

If I could put steelfibre on my putter I would be a birdie machine. I think what was meant was unload. Like these clubs are going to unload a can of whoop arse. Finally getting use to the weight.
