I was sure that he was going to be a standout RB in the league. His talent at LSU was on display every single game.

They have a superior talent rookie RB in Mixon. Hill will be a FA at the end of the season. Mixon is cheap. Go with Mixon. NFL 101.
Not to say Hill isn’t good (he is). He will have a fine career. But you go with the cheap, talented rookie, and cut Hill loose at the end of the year.

He just isn’t doing anything for the Bengals. They changed OC’s and the new one prefers Mixon. Mixon isn’t giving him a reason to change his mind.
