I haven't watched any of the poll stuff tonight. I know they are 4th. What is the committee saying?

They were 3rd(?) before the game. Then they lose. And they are still in the playoff, as of now, at 4.

Have they interviewed anyone from the committee? Are these rankings just their predictions?

They didn't have a poll before the game

they probably value their win over Alabama a good deal.

wish it wasn't so open and shut.

Committee must have a lot of respect for LSU, and Tiger Stadium at night.

They have either the 4th or 5th best resume in the country.

I think they could be 5th, but I don't have a problem with them being 4th.

Then why are they #6 behind Auburn and Oregon? This is going to be a hilarious shitshow.

oh, no argument here.

the real shitshow will start when teams who don't even win their own division get in the playoffs.

it already happened with Alabama in the BCS era and that is what pissed a lot of people off.

i liked the 1st game between Alabama-LSU a few years ago but that was a boring arse rematch for the title.

really a big slap in the face to anyone who appreciates football. Except for the sidewalk fans for Alabama who don't have a life.

Ole Miss has the 4th biggest quality win in the country (by just looking at the rankings--Bama is the 4th ranked 1-losser). They also have the #6 SOS so far (according to my system). There's no reason they shouldn't be ranked as highly as they are. The Massey composite has them at #2. In relation to the computers, this poll is shafting them a little.

No matter, however, since the Rebels control their own destiny. No matter what they're ranked today, if they win out, there does not exist a scenario where they are not in the playoff.

Who are you ranking ahead of them? MSU lost to a better team but they haven't beaten anybody. Oregon lost to an arguably equal team but lost at home as opposed to on the road. Notre Dame lost to a better team but hasn't beaten anybody. Alabama lost to them and hasn't beaten anybody.

This is a good sign. It shows the committee isn't just blindly moving teams based on when they lose. Also if you're an LSU fan wanting only teams who win their conference or division to make the playoffs is short sighted and moronic

it's pretty ridiculous. But I think Auburn takes care of them this weekend so it won't matter

Feel free to name two one-loss teams with tougher schedules so far than Ole Miss.

Auburn is a tough team to read in my opinion. The other time they came off a bye, they won in a sloppy game against Kansas St. on the road.

this past week, their defense looked pretty flawed but their offense looked about what you might expect.

in the K-State game it was almost the opposite.

Auburn is already 0-for-1 in SEC West road games this year.

yet Auburn's D didn't play all that bad against Miss St. in my opinion. If they can get the turnovers like they did against Miss State, they should win. But if their offense turns it over like they did against Miss St, Auburn is going to lose.

forgive the half arse tequila induced commentary.

They have the fourth best resume behind MSU, FSU and Auburn.

What a coincidence they are #4.

Auburn Resume:
Wins: @#9 KSU , VS #19 LSU
Loss: AT #1 MSU

Ole Miss Resume:
Wins: VS #6 Alabama
Loss: AT #19 LSU

Oregon Resume:
Wins: VS #8 Mich St
Loss: VS #12 Arizona

Alabama Resume:
Wins: VS #20 WVU
Loss: AT #4 Ole Miss

Auburn has clearly the best resume of the four. Alabama has clearly the worst of the four. You could flip flop Ole Miss and Oregon if you want to.its no longer about dropping a team because of when they lose.

Why don't you say who you think should be ahead of them?

It's pretty obvious the reason is to justify Alabama at No. 6.

Ole Miss belongs around 8 or 9. But if you put them where they belong, then you have to put Alabama below that, if you are trying to convince people you are trying to be fair.

The biggest joke of all is that while the committee went out of its way to put Ole Miss ahead of Alabama, it apparently figured that nobody would care or notice the discrepancy between Arizona and Oregon, and TCU and Baylor.

As most thinking people already knew, this committee is a joke. The playoff$ i$ BC$ on $teroid$.

This is the 1st committee poll.

Who has a better resume that should be in over them?
