I can't find the video right now, but the Twins and Tigers had one in 1982 where Dave Rozema ruined his career with a karate kick. I have hung out with Rozema once or twice, and to this day, people taunt him with "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fughting."

Pretty sure as he was headed toward the mound, Ventura was already accepting that he was gonna get his arse kicked

Before I clicked on the link- I was thinking about Padres vs Braves, those brawls were best I've seen. Last summer I read a baseball book & there was a whole section on what & why that fight happened.

Might not be the best brawl, but this is my favorite way a brawl had ever started.
Minor leaguer Izzy Alcantara kicks the catcher and charges the mound

Astros vs Expos in 96.
Larry Dierker having his face cut open with a batting helmet was pretty gruesome.
I cant find any video from it.
Edit* I don't think it is the best but seeing it live was pretty intense.

You folks need to Google "Juan Marichal John Roseboro bat" and get back to me on this "best brawl" foolishness.

Can't find vid, but former Auburn player Scott Sullivan was a pitcher who was a good ol' boy and not afraid to get into it.

The weird thing is that THREE Braves pitchers that were involved in that game and the brawls are now dead: Donnie Moore (committed suicide), Pascual Perez (murdered last year), and Rick Camp (cause of death not yet released).

Looked to me like the Padres were getting their asses kicked by Braves FANS.

Curse of The Brawl?

Not a brawl, but Mark Whiten landed a haymaker on BlackJack McDowell that dropped him cold... Looks like all videos were taken down, but that was a classic.

I'm surprised no one has said "Ten Cent Beer Night" in Cleveland. A fricking riot broke out on the field before the game could end.

I remember he was an okay young player who played some in the bigs and then that happened and he pretty much was never welcome back in the majors or minors...looks like he ended his career playing mexican ball
