Getting stiffed armed. Less people would see the dunk.

Probably just a "cool story," but I was actually at that game. Dudley got up and threw the ball at Shaq and got ejected.

Stiff arms are great, but it's not a play that gets remembered over time.
This one will be remembered for a long time

I watched that GIF like 5 times before I realized you were talking about the Knicks #8. I was like "When did Sprewell play for the Lakers?" and was this close to replying "#8 is Kobe you dumbass"

I don’t even understand why a defensive player allows a stiff arm to happen when you can just go low and wrap up the legs.

Because you’d basically have to dive at the guys lower body outside of arm reach. Your more likely to completely miss and end up looking like a chicken and a fool.

Dunking has the occasional caveat that the dunkee may have been marking another body/zone and is helpless coming in late. But your guy posterizing you is unrivaled.

The German broadcast of that call that someone linked here is just pure magic and adds to the legend.

That's a great clip...but this French call of Carter's dunk still wins it for me. LINK

Being stiff armed is way worse.
Im speaking as recipient.
In both instances i was recipient, the runner scored td. You are splat on ground watching runner dash to goal.

Being dunked on is commonplace.

Few defenders can stop a dunker at the rim.
It never bothered me.

I dont see dunking as an accomplishment unless you are spud webb sized.

Dunked on, easily.

The football equivalent is Bo Jackson running over Boz on his way into the end zone.
