What should the Jags realistically expect if they were to trade Jones-Drew?

I was listening to Feinstein this morning and he said that he was making decisions for the Jags FO, he's not sure he'd accept anything lower than a 2nd round pick.

Am I the only one who finds that pretty dumb? I'd be ecstatic to get a 3rd or 4th round pick if I was a Jags fan/FO member.

3rd or 4th would be huge for them. Nobody is giving a 2nd rounder for a 29 year old with a ton of mileage. Considering they're just gonna lose him anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they're simply offered a 5.

4th rounder.

JD isn't washed up, but he's in a league that doesn't have a lot of uses for power backs anymore.

Sucks because I think Dallas could use him, but not for a 2nd rounder.

He's 28. One year is a pretty big difference. I wouldn't think anyone would give up a 2nd rounder but the Colts did just trade a 1st rounder for Richardson so you never know.

A fifth round pick if they're lucky.

The Packers wouldn't even give up a seventh to get Jackson last season.

Have to find another Jim Irsay dumbass to take on MJD and actually give you something good

If I were a team trading for him, I would be more worried that he thinks he deserves to be one of the highest paid RBs in the league.

Wasn't he the statistically the best running back in the league like 2 years ago? Then he held out the following offseason for more money. I don't understand why that's bad.

What's bad is RBs shelf life. He expects 10-12 mill a year like AP and Chris Johnson.

So is he supposed to be ok with making less money because he may slow down in a couple of years? He performed the best out of everyone in the league and he wanted to be compensated for it. I don't have an issue with that.

ETA - He's not going to get a huge contract after this season, but I don't fault him for trying for it.

I can't imagine anything better than a 3rd round pick, but value is relative in the NFL.

Ummmm......yes! if he is so confident that he won't he should sign a contract with a lot of incentives.

IF i were the cowboys i'd give up a 2nd for him simply because they can make a run THIS YEAR with an elite ish level RB. he's the missing peice to that team. murry is made of glass and when he goes out they are too pass happy. he could put them over the top.
