What I’ve noticed about Iowa

Let me just say, this conclusion has probably been made by many of you. Iowa women’s basketball, without Caitlin Clark, is probably average at best. No way they make it this far without her. There are no other game changers on that roster. They are just supporting cast to Clark. Reminds me a lot of the early 2000’s 76ers teams with Iverson.
South Carolina… talent all around for days. There’s a reason they’re undefeated. I’m pulling for Iowa, but damn, they’re going to have to play lights out in the 4th to have a chance.

Stulke is damn good. Clark is a game changer but the last 2 quarters she hasn’t scored much.

Clark’s a generational player, but they have other players on that team that are solid. They’re still a top 15-20 team without Clark

Iowa looked like hugh school white girls going against wnba sized players. They fought well but the size of usc was too much.

Agreed. Iowa had no one who could match up with Cardoso in the paint. No bigs on their team whatsoever.

This coach has taken them to the elite 8 before CC got there, so it isn’t like they have zero history.
But I do agree that USC has a much deeper more talented roster overall.

Excuse the lazy comparison but this was Magic vs. Larry in the 1979 NCAA Final X10.
Nobody knows a single teammate Larry Bird had on that team, its like they disappeared into the ether of history. Magic had two future NBA players. Only so much you can do when facing a loaded roster with average teammates who have no size.

The early top 25 is out for next season and Iowa is not in the Top 25. They are not even honorable mention.

I think the center for Iowa said the obvious...."South Carolina is a Pro team playing against College girls, they have huge size advantage and athleticism ".
