So it's just the 3 stats that matter?

James was fricking -32. They couldn't find anyone on the Spurs that he could guard. Like the Dallas series when getting lit up game after game they finally put him on J Kidd and Kidd roasted him.

He was Leonard's bitch last night.

He's your hero though so he can do no wrong.

James has always been a mental case.

That Cavs/Celtics series a few years ago revealed it.

Dude just froze and checked out in a clinching game.

But since you asked, games 4, 5, and 6 of the 96 finals

You mean when the Bulls had a 3-0 lead in the Series? And MJ was 32. And they weren't in the process of falling behind in the series?

And LeBron's game score was a measly 10 in that three game stretch in 2011.

dude how many times are you going to change your parameters every time I prove your statements wrong?

All due respect, you gotta admit you've backtracked 3 separate times now off of each position you originally took.

You keep avoiding one question, granted James offense was horrific last night but what did you think about his defense and effort other than that?

i think you're mistaking him for Wade, as Wade was the guy and has been all playoffs who us consistently late on closeouts.

Leonard has a good game, Green had a legendary game.

That game by MJ isn't great but is it as bad as that shite show from Lebron yesterday? It is close but I don't know. Would be interesting to see how Jordan played defensively in that game as well because we all know Lebron was a piece of shite last night on that end of the court too.

Either way, I'm not really going to get into the whole MJ/Lebron argument. This statistic pretty much tells me all I need to know:

quote:

James has never scored more than Jordan’s NBA Finals average of 33.6 ppg, and Jordan never scored less than LeBron’s average of 21.6 ppg

WTF are you talking about? You keep avoiding my initial question/point.

MJ never became passive and scared in the Finals. He sure as hell never became passive and scared, causing his team to lose/fall behind in the series.

I didn't ask you to post one bad MJ game. Everybody knows MJ had bad games. Why do you you refuse to look at the context of the situation? MJ's worst three game stretch came when the Bulls had a 3-0 lead. LeBron's have come during crucial times in the series. Again, that's the point. LeBron is wilting when his team needs him. When did MJ do that?

First, the Spurs are giving him cushion and trying to get him to settle for jumpers. Because Kawhi's arms are so long, he can contest shots even if he's playing off.

They're playing one of their perimeter defenders on the elbow to cut off Lebron's drive to the middle. And their big man, either Duncan or Splitter, is stepping into the lane as soon as he makes his move.

There are two things the Heat can do to counter this type of defense. One, they can start to knock down some of the looks the Spurs are giving them. Or, they need good ball-handlers, particularly Chalmers and Cole, to attack the weak side of the defense after the ball is reversed to them.

right sso my point is its at least close enough that others are wrong when they flat out say mj would never have such a horrible game.

That's all I'm saying lol

No I'm not mistaking him for anyone. His man, whoever it was at the time, drove around him to the lane anytime they wanted to.

James was the games worst player last night, period.

You said he'd never have a game like that. I proved that wrong. Then you asked if mj did all kinds of other stuff, that was irrelevant.

Then youasked iif mj ever had a 3 game stretch that bad, insinuating he didn't. Then I proved that wrong. Then you changed tha parameters on that as well.

You can disagree with any of the above, but it basically happened exactly like that lol.

This is what I said:

"There's no spinning his performance just like there wasn't any spinning it two years ago. No, MJ wouldn't have done this shite."

And again, I was referring to his passiveness. Sorry I wasn't clear, but I figured it would've registered after a half dozen times of clarifying it.

Did you read my entire post?

quote:

Did he ever have an eight point game on 3/11 shooting while completely avoiding the ball in the fourth quarter? That game came during a three game stretch in which he average 14 ppg on 38% shooting. In his prime.

Did MJ ever average 16 ppg on less than 40% shooting in the first three games of the Finals while the alpha dog of his team? In his prime.

We all know MJ had off games. He didn't have the lapses in courage like LeBron does.

You're doing an excellent job of parsing the argument down to merely numbers without actually acknowledging the context of the argument. When did MJ wilt when his team needed him the most?
