#1 overall pick, more hype than any other prospect I've ever seen. After 5 seasons he does have 1 MVP, but his other 4 seasons have been slightly above average. There are a handful of outfielders i'd rather have on my team.

.270 average and 20 hrs is slightyly above average. The Marlins have 3 outfielders who can produce better seasons than this.

Only one I'd take is Trout.

Harper is a great player and the best is yet to come.

He has been really good and he is a top 5 player going forward. People don't realize how young he is. He put up an all-time great season at an age where a lot of legit prospects are still in AA.

Would this thread have been made had he not battled nagging injuries all year?

His WAR was 5.0 that season.

And he was like 20. A 20 year putting up 5 WAR seasons is the sign of future greatness.

yeah that one is off base... Would normally say Clutch but he had a down year.

Stanton can't stay healthy enough...

Trout is obviously number 1
Betts has an argument for two with Harper... Beat players are at SS now

Yup, barring injuries just another 12-years or so left of his career.

What I make of his career is that he reached a level at which he will get healthcare for the rest of his life and a massive pension for life
