Rose doesn't have the heart to be any more than he has been. Injuries isn't his only problem. He doesn't have the heart and competitiveness to dominate year in and year out. He can get up for a big game here and there but that's it.

He got better and better and better in his first 3 seasons.

Then the injuries happened, and hes played scared ever since.

He tries not to get hurt.

I think his highest potential point was his generation's Isaiah Thomas.

A touch overrated because of the era he played in, but a cornerstone for a couple of title teams, and a contender for multiple MVPs who'd be mostly capped by the better play of others (Bird/Magic/Michael vs. LBJ/Curry/Durant)

Dwight was better than both of them and should've been MVP.

dwight was not better than lebron

however, dwight should have won over DRose since Lebron wasn't an option b/c the media put him in timeout over "The Decision"

he wasn't even THAT much better than russ that year and i argued as much in real time

Rose was like the 6th best player in basketball that season.

Dwight was the only player that season more valuable to his team than Rose imo.

The funny part is had Lebron stayed in Cleveland, Lebron would've won the MVP without question.

is the reason Rose won.....and the Lebron fatigue of course. LeCry actually finished 3rd.
I think Howard may have been the most deserving that year actually.

I remember at this point in grant hills career people were saying "what could have been". He ended up having a good long career.

Rose started off the season playing pretty poor basketball but he has stepped it up lately. Really since he took off the mask he has played better. Though he obviously isn't at that pre-injury level.
