What are your initial reactions from the bowl season

Very surprised the AAC has lost 6 bowl games (Temple and Memphis especially)
The 5-7 teams all winning is not a good thing overall
The SEC may have been better than thought but not big sample size and good matches for them

I am stunned the SEC is 3-0...although it was a very weak year for the SEC, their match-ups are favorable. Auburn was the one shocker to me dominating a Memphis team that dominated N. Mississippi.

The AAC was definitely not as good as I expected and their losses have hurt me on betting and in my bowl pools pretty bad (Temple, Memphis and South Florida to be specific)

the pac 12 has had some very favorable match ups with Arizona playing New Mexico, Washington playing Southern Miss and California playing Air Force which leads to their record

Pac-12 has had typical lame matchups where they were the obvious favorite - except for Wazzu/Miami and BYU/Utah - so they should have been undefeated actually at this point but UCLA - did their usual El Foldo.
The real test will be USC/Wisky and Stanford/Iowa - and Oregon/TCU.
If the Pac wins those games - they maybe they were the best conference top to bottom.

UCLA losing to A 5-7 Nebraska team blows the whole Pac-12 out of the water.... The conference is a joke overall... Stanford is a real good team,And USC should beat Wisky just because of the SPEED advantadge....... Not sure if Boykin is plaing but if he is... TCU rolls the Ducks.............

You can't have it both ways saying you're surprised Memphis loss but later say the SEC had favorable match ups.
You want to know what makes a match up look favorable? A team winning by a big margin. Here's to State and LSU along with Auburn because all 3 came out swinging.

Way too many games that has led to boring and diluted match ups

My mom, who picked Auburn because she got food poisoning one time in Memphis, is leading my 20-person bowl pickem.
But it's college football, so I still love it.

That just isn't true at all, and even if it was, I don't get the point of bitching about a boring game that would exist otherwise. If you don't like the games because there are too many, don't watch them.

Bama MSU is going to be a war with the way bowl season has gone thus far
The Pac-12 doesn't seem that good at the top of the conference

That these games aren't meaningless, because college football has Polls and not Standings, and the foundations of their results can shape one's beliefs in a strong way.

Our future is bright with Lamar Jackson

My other observation is that the Pac has this whole bowl scheduling thing down. Don't play ANYONE GOOD. They beat a 5-7 nebraska and a worse than usual Wisky and they are 7-0 without beating anyone at all.
The B1G/SEC play each other in at least 3 games annually with 'similar' records. UCLA was 8-4 and Nebraska was 5-7. how is that a bowl game of "equal" teams?
The Foster Farms Bowl is supposed to matchup Pac #4 and B1G #7. Seriously?

Big Ten has by far the most difficult travelling schedule of any conference in the bowl season
Nebraska vs UCLA in California
Minnesota vs Central Michigan in Michigan
Wisconsin vs USC in California
Michigan vs Florida in Florida
Iowa vs Stanford in Florida
Penn State vs UGA in Jacksonville
Also really surprised at how bad the AAC is doing.
And is it really THAT difficult to stay our of trouble when preparing for a bowl game.
