Yeah you could justify this

You can't justify this.

It wouldn't take much persuasion for me to put A&M in there.

Any list that doesn't include Ohio St is retarded.

I like OSU, but they are one season removed from a 6-6 season and are on NCAA probation right now. Those are two valid reasons to leave off OSU, who only went unbeaten this year because of how terrible the Big Ten is. They'd be right no my cusp of top five, but I can certainly understand not ranking them. was this just a one year "F You" season?

I can understand people thinking this, but why does every top 5 list have Florida in it? They had 3 mediocre seasons in a row before this year. I more want a justification for why everyone has UF in their top 5 than why anyone leaves OSU off. I'm fine with OSU not being there right now, although they'll have 3 top 10 seasons of the past 4

It was two mediocre years. Florida's last four years:

13-1
8-5
7-6
11-1 (bowl game pending)

For me, it has to do with the institutional advantages Florida has. They can rebuild rather quickly, and they just have. Urban left that program in a shambles, with some serious roster issues. It appears Florida has now worked through the post-Urban transition and is ready to start winning big again. They keep raking in the highly rated classes.

I could see leaving UF off as well, but if you'll note, I included OSU and UF in my top 5, though there are cases for and against them. Really, I think three are obvious - LSU, Bama, and Oregon. The other two are personal preference. Oklahoma is also in the mix.

Bama - goes without saying
OSU - Meyer, undefeated
A&M - entered SEC, still went 10-2, Heisman
Fla - 3rd in country, one loss in SEC
ND - undefeated, BCS game, Heisman candidate, media hype will strengthen them

Using that argument would then have to put FSU in the top 5, too. Although I don't they are and neither is Florida.

Fair enough for some reason I thought it was 3.

Urban IMO left the offense in shambles for UF, but the D was loaded with playmakers when he left. Boom has done a good job playing field position and winning games with his D, although his O has started to come around as Driskel has improved

Surprised to see LSU here on just about everybody's list. According to the Rant, our program is on the verge of collapse by way of all those 10 win seasons and top ten finishes.

Bama - Obviously
LSU - The only team that has shown it can compete with Bama on a consistent basis
Florida - Has ruled the East for most of this decade and looks like they have rebounded
Oregon - They are the new USC imo. I expect them to win a BCS title soon.
Ohio State - Consistent winner this decade and almost default opponent in BCS.

uh, everyone thought A&M would get a quick dose of reality coming to the SEC. Jokes on them

Fla is going to a BCS bowl, one loss in the all-powerful SEC, and won two BCS games in the last decade

ND is where LSU was last year, with a Heisman candidate, and all the media hype, yet you think LSU going to the Peach bowl is a better program, RIGHT NOW? OK, Sure

hey buckeye,

UF had 2 mediocre seasons, and we still beat OSU last year during our suckfest of a season. No doubt about it, UF >>>>>> ohiya state

and a big EL-OH-EL @ f$u being a top5 program
