How does your revenue in the Big XII compare to the Big East?

That should be the first question asked.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen "meh" with an exclamation point.

I agree to a point, but whats the cutoff - is it literally only this year (surely not)? Or the past 3 years? Past 5? 10?

People throw out old arse accolades from 50 years before the current players were even born all the damn time.

Don't have the numbers directly in front of me, but I am pretty damn sure that our half share of B12 league revenue this year is considerably more than we were getting in the BE.

The Old BE football contracts were worth a paltry $5-7 million.

I'd say 3-5, and give you the example of Florida. That's about how long they have taken to fall completely off the map. Noone really gives a shite about them winning anything 5 years ago or even remembers for the most part. Tebow is the only reason you even think of their championships.

I don't think most fans from schools in the other big 5 conference realize just how much of a disadvantage being in that damn league was. Paydays less than half (in some cases, much less than half) what nearly everyone else was getting. ND getting to poach our bowl spots.

So basically, where is your current coaching/AD staff going with the program. I can agree with this.

unless the Rob Mullens rumors are true, in which case

think eventually Texas A&M will fade in the State of Texas and in the SEC. People in Texas who aren't aggies will care more about Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State over TAMU.

this is one interesting comment. my first impression was that it was stupid as hell, esp considering the hype surrounding the aggy since they've joined the sec. but, after thinking about it, most of the current space in the houston chronicle sports section is dedicated to the big 12. sure, jff is getting his pub but the aggies are getting about the same pub as ut and tech/baylor combined. and the SEC is getting LESS PUB than before the aggies joined. i think that odd but then i remembered the tejas mindset; they are circling the wagons and preserving their distorted view of their state. aggie is being ostrasized (sp). they have offended the tejas psyche, whether some admit it or not. however, and this is HUGE, they have definately not offended the better high school football players. that may ultimely trump what these texas centric egotists think.

I tried to be a decent human being and give this dipshit an easy out, but sadly he was too fricking stupid to take it. I almost feel like this must just a really good troll job, cause if he was actually that fricking idiotic he wouldn't be able to turn on a computer.

New flash bud - just cause you're in the SEC doesn't mean your chronically mediocre program is on par with Bama or LSU.

What happened the last time WVU played Missou in basketball? The Mountaineers crushed you in the NCAA Tourneys.

Based upon the last post concerning records, maybe you should rethink your logic. Sure you are better Big East or Southern Conference football program, within that context. How is the Big 12 working out for y'all?

I'd kick Boston College out of the ACC in a heartbeat to bring in WVU. (This is coming from a VT fan btw)

The ACC has a real problem with small private schools that don't travel well and kill our chances at getting quality bowl tie-ins. The whole issue with academics is dumb because we already added Louisville and most schools are going to pair up with schools in the same region regardless of conference affiliation.

I have had plenty of bad and testy experiences with WVU fans, but atleast they are passionate, beer-drinking, good folk unlike the UNC and UVA's of the world that would rather attend local wine tastings than football games.
