No way that will be what the new stadium looks like. WM has been having trouble filling up the home side. No reason to make it that extravagant. Upgrades are necessary and I'm all for making it nice, but that looks like an above average collegiate stadium.

Probably 98% of Saints fans are also LSU fans.

i'd say 60%

remember our fanbase stretches into Mississippi and Alabama

plus the Tulane and ULL fans rooting for the Saints

Sorry, I should have said in Louisiana

Those few hundred don't really hurt. A majority of those fan bases also root for lsu

98% was a hyperbole though

You need to come live in Texas, WM level obsession is the norm for 95% of this state

This is the current press box, which was actually expanded in the late 90s.

That pressbox was a shitbox when I did a game there in the late 80s. Plus a HUGE P.A. speaker was about three feet outside our window, and they had a P.A. announcer who NEVER shut up!

As long as they replace the turf 1st, should have done that before the video board. Protect the players before trying to entertain fans.

districts are wasting money doing that after too short periods

we got our turf in 2008, and before we replaced it this summer, i was walking and playing flag football on it, and i thought we could have kept it for another decade. i didn't see why not

It's not a short period. WM has had their turf quite a while, didn't really properly maintain it, and it became horrible. Worst I've been on lately. Not safe imo. Player safety 1st. It was also put down way before the much nicer field turf the rest of the parish has

Need to follow Zachary's lead. Seems like those guys have it together. When you are a landlocked school like West Monroe or Ruston, you have to do more maintenance than most. Expensive but necessary. I trust they'll get it right, too important not to

It was installed in 2003(the 1st high school stadium in the state) and they said it had a 20 year life span. I believe that company went out of business.

I live in BR, and I'm glad for anyone in LA that has passion and pride for HS football.

It's more likely in north LA simply because it's not like they can hop in their car and be in TS or the Box in less than an hour.

Pump that money into something that at least involves kids.

Maybe off subject (or not?), how has the state football changed at WM since the passing of Don Shows?

I'm just a little butt hurt that I can't find a forum that talks Catholic League, NOLA, etc. like Louisianasportsline.com talks the north LA schools or Cajun preps with the Lafayette schools

kenramsey.com still exists but the message boards are dead. he still has all the schedules, archived playoff brackets for every sport since 2000, and calculates power ratings for a bunch of sports however

louisianasportsline is all of the posters that used to be on kenramsey

they calculate power ratings for football and baseball but not anything else

i feel sorry for anyone who needs a suite to enjoy high school football

i'll go to every game with the people in the stands bc that's the fun of it, but a suite is just sad. not like you can drink alcohol lol

now us in the Dome for a state championship would be legit though. the whole St. Bernard see and be seen crowd would bleed maroon leading up to that game
