I agree. I believe Friday is looked at as a bad prime time slot. I think CFB is big enough to have great ratings that night.

That's my point, the NFL doesn't even try to compete with college on Saturdays. What stops the NFL from giving up Thursday night games and adding a Saturday night game? There could be no game quality or safety argument then. They have Saturday games in week 15 and 16. It's just the way it's always been. The NFL has incentive to keep its free minor league/daycare thriving.

I'm guessing the NFL wouldn't want to move their Saturday games because of the possibility of a west coast team playing a 12:30 game, which would be 9:30am for their fan base. That and their Saturday night playoff ratings are probably incredible
