Bison are still unanimous number 1. MVC has 7 teams in the top 25. McNeese still being punished. It is a fair poll. I do not think that Coastal should be ranked though.

I just started following the Colonels and some of the FCS more closely last season, so I don't have much to add in terms of insight, but I wanted to point out that I look forward to this thread every week even when it's slow.

I need Jeremiah Briscoe and Kade Harrington to have big nights this Saturday....dropped to 2-2 in my FCS fantasy league.
On a different note, I'm hoping that the Nicholls St/McNeese St game will be competitive this year. Would be a nice change of pace from the past decade.

I agree...but I still hope we whoop that arse! Lmao! Especially after what happened last week against UIW.

I am really looking forward to the Nicholls/McNeese game. Have been following the Colonels for a very long time. It is very refreshing to see the improvements in this team. Hopefully that translates into some SLC victories.

Reverse that. ISU makes the trip to the FargoDome. Almost a must win for ISU after dropping close ones to EIU and INSU. Season could derail quickly.

Who is your pick for SAM/SFA?
We should have beat SFA. They are good, but even with our inconsistent play, we were in that game the entire time. A stupid roughing the punter penalty and a muffed punt really hurt us. Then they got a short field on the 3rd down interception which led to the game winning TD.
No disrespect to SFA, they are a good team, but we shot ourselves in the foot 3 times in that game.

McNeese easily downs Nicholls tonight, 38-13. Slow start to the game, but McNeese took the lead on an INT return for TD in the first. The offense tacked on 2 TDs in the 2nd quarter to take a 21-3 lead at the half. Pokes cruise from there.
Tabary throws for over 200 yards for the 5th time this season, and over 300 for the second time. He has thrown for over 1400 yards, 10 TDs, and 2 INTs in 5 games.
The running game still has not been effective. We had 71 total yards. Nicholls had 31. Both teams threw for over 300 yards.

Yep. McNeese was just too much for Nicholls tonight

Nicholls has a lot of upside though. Definitely looking better. We are going to have Tabary vs Forcade for 3 years. Not a bad deal there.

Yep. You don't become the cream of the conference overnight. Nicholls has a ways to go, but they do have upside you are correct.
