Nicholls with the big win at Lamar
Posted on 11/9/15 at 9:54 am to LSUTiger88
Two wins on the season! I'll be at the game this weekend vs UCA.
Posted on 11/9/15 at 9:56 am to GeauxColonels
See what happens when the thread makes concerted effort to get the losing streak away? We detailed their game and bingo they won. Then they get confidence and win another.
Im sure it was our good vibes that helped, yeah right. But congrats to Nicholls, SMS or HBU is now the worst team in FCS.

This is my first season as a real fan of Nicholls due to connections with recent hires and it's fun as hell. This weekend might be the first home game I miss, but I should make the Southeastern game.

Delaware St and Austin Peay say hi.

No go look at what SMS has done, they have already given up a school record in points and now get to play
NDSU and UNI to close the year.

The new projected playoff bracket
Charleston Southern-North Carolina A&T winner at No. 1 seed Jacksonville State
Portland State-Northern Iowa winner at No. 8 seed James Madison
Colgate-Richmond winner at No. 5 seed William & Mary
UT Martin-Chattanooga winner at No. 4 seed McNeese State
Bryant-Montana winner at No. 3 seed Illinois State
Fordham-The Citadel winner at No. 6 seed Coastal Carolina
Southern Utah-Sam Houston State winner at No. 7 seed South Dakota State
Dayton-Eastern Washington winner at No. 2 seed North Dakota State
Initial thoughts....
The annual screw job for the SLC and MVC with a 2nd round pairing
If Montana makes it they got a tough road, no favors.
Jax St will earn a Championship, because they have to play tough draw for a 1 seed, the 2 seed NDSU got the favor draw.
UNI is sitting pretty with that draw.

Totally impressed with holding the Sam Houston offense to 3 points last week.
I'm cautiously optimistic because of the constant disappointment in the playoffs in the 1st round.
Especially with such a question mark @ QB

They were missing two key offensive weapons. I'm still proceeding with optimistic caution.
If McNeese ever gets behind in a game and has to throw their way into it, that'll be the end of the season because they can't do it

Pretty accurate poll for first time in 3 weeks
McNeese may be too high, I would flip them with Coastal, but they deserve that ranking
Italics are ineligible teams for playoffs
For all that said the Valley was in down year, 3 of top 6 and 5 of top 25.

No they didn't. Not everyone is on your ILS conspiracy. Look at the bracket projection it is pretty fair to them.

Bracket projection is where I expected. Dropping to 6th after a loss on the road to #11. Not so much. Yet after looking longer not sure who I'd move them above. Probably fine where they are.

Players of the Week:
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Daniel Sams, McNeese State, QB, R-Sr., 6-2, 198, Slidell, Louisiana.
Take away Sams' 64-yard touchdown run in the second quarter against Sam Houston State and the McNeese State signal-caller still reached the 100-yard level. But the undefeated Cowboys won't take it away because it started their climb from a 10-0 deficit toward a 27-10 victory - which clinched at least a share of the Southland championship as well as the conference's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Sams connected with Kent Shelby for a 6-yard touchdown pass to give the Cowboys (9-0) a 14-10 lead by halftime and went on to account for 332 yards of total offense (164 rushing on 23 carries, 168 passing on 14 completions). Sams has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in his two seasons at McNeese, a feat he also accomplished in two seasons at Kansas State before making a transfer.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
George Dawson, Fordham, LB, Jr., 6-2, 224, Bronx, New York.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lance Geesey, Saint Francis, PK, R-Jr., 5-10, 180, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Justice Shelton-Mosley, Harvard, WR/RS, Fr., 5-10, 170, Sacramento, California.
