Couldn't see one...
Anyway, biiiiiig week in the Prem.
Barclays Premier League
Man City v Aston Villa, 15:00
Tottenham v Bolton, 15:00
Today should make the race for fourth place much clearer.
Sunday, 2 May 2010
Liverpool v Chelsea, 13:30
Sunderland v Man Utd, 16:00
Title could be decided by 6pm sunday, or not. Big talk about Liverpool possibly not quite playing to their fullest if you follow me. In 1995 when Blackburn traveled to Anfield on the final day of the year the fans were mostly wearing blue and white, because it was between Blackburn and Man Utd for the title. This game is much bigger than that because if Man Utd win this year, they'll eclipse Liverpool's 18 titles.
1 Chelsea 36 61 80
2 Man Utd 36 53 79
3 Arsenal 36 39 72
4 Tottenham 35 26 64
5 Aston Villa 36 16 64
6 Man City 35 27 63
7 Liverpool 36 28 62
8 Everton 36 10 57
Coca-Cola Football League One
Charlton v Leeds United, 15:00
Pretty big match in league one for those who care about such things.
1 Norwich 44 41 92
2 Leeds United 44 33 83
3 Millwall 44 33 82
4 Swindon 44 16 79
5 Charlton 44 20 78
6 Huddersfield 44 26 77
Over in Europe Barca face a tough test after being dumped out of the CL
Saturday
Villarreal v Barcelona, 21:00
Sunday
Real Madrid v Osasuna, 18:00
Sevilla v Atletico Madrid, 16:00
1 Barcelona 34 63 87
2 Real Madrid 34 59 86
3 Valencia 34 16 62
4 Mallorca 34 15 56
5 Sevilla 34 10 54
6 Villarreal 34 4 52
Come on Charlton basically.
Oh and there's a match on atm, Birmingham vs Burnley. Nobody cares, the radio station I listen to aren't even covering it.

Much bigger match for Leeds than for Charlton. Looks like they are in the playoff and only have a very marginal chance for automatic promotion.
Also, by the look of things, wouldn't Liverpool possibly miss Europe altogether with a 7th place finish? And the possibility (slim) of dropping below Everton?

Nah, cos Portsmouth are ineligible for Europe, so the place which would have been awarded to the FA cup winners goes to the 7th placed team.

Portsmouth won the FA cup? I guess I was under a rock for that one. Wow.

City scores on a PK, now it's 1-1.
ETA: Adebayor makes it 2-1 City.

Try Veetle, channel "FSC Soccer."
If you want Spurs-Bolton, go to Sopcast, channel 6816.

Nope, but they would've got the place in the Europa league courtesy of Chelsea already having qualified for the CL, except that UEFA won't allow it.

OK. I understand.
Surs in the CL.
Liverpool in the UEFA cup.
How about that.
BTW, The Valley is tops on my list of places to see a game when I finally get to the UK for my football tour.

haha, It's not that great. The crowd can be a bit boring. My favourite thing about the ground is that it's in the middle of a residential area. You walk down a couple of streets of terraced houses and then this football ground just comes out of nowhere.
ETA: Great result today, thought we'd win, still would need a lot of things to go our way to claim that second automatic spot though.

I like the history of the club facing extinction and the people, basically the neighborhood coming out and resurrecting it. To the point of getting in the stadium and pulling weeds.
Just seems like a cool place. I can live without the glitz of the Emirates and OT. Not that I wouldn't go of course, but there's more to the game than the mega clubs for me.
I want to go to Crewe, Leatherhead, SOL, The Den et. al.
