Always found this chart very useful, so I thought I would share.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

7:30 PM 5 Clemson @ Georgia Tech ESPN Dave Flemming, Jesse Palmer

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

7:30 PM Wyoming @ Eastern Michigan CBS Sports Network Ben Holden, Sed Bonner
8:00 PM TCU @ Southern Methodist ESPN Adam Amin, Mack Brown
9:00 PM USC @ 24 Utah FS1 Joe Davis, Brady Quinn

TOP 10 GAMES
I rank the games based on a combination of the S&P ratings of the teams and the Vegas spread of the game. The S&P rating of the team is in parenthesis and the home team spread is at the end. I also rate each game relative to all of the games that have occurred this year so far and assign them a Game Rating (100 being the top game of the year).

1) 09/24 - Stanford (12) @ UCLA (18) +3 (Game Rating: 95.4)
2) 09/24 - Florida (9) @ Tennessee (13) -7 (Game Rating: 94.3)
3) 09/24 - LSU (3) @ Auburn (22) +3 (Game Rating: 94)
4) 09/24 - Georgia (27) @ Ole Miss (11) -7 (Game Rating: 89.4)
5) 09/23 - USC (16) @ Utah (43) -3 (Game Rating: 88.7)
6) 09/24 - Wisconsin (20) @ Michigan State (30) -5.5 (Game Rating: 88.5)
7) 09/24 - Oklahoma State (25) @ Baylor (14) -8.5 (Game Rating: 87.9)
8) 09/24 - Arkansas (31) @ Texas A&M (19) -6 (Game Rating: 87.5)
9) 09/24 - Florida State (10) @ South Florida (38) +6 (Game Rating: 85.8)
10) 09/24 - Pittsburgh (41) @ North Carolina (26) -7 (Game Rating: 84.4)

Edit: Tweaked my top 10 rankings a bit and added the game ratings

Why is Wisconsin/Michigan State relegated to a noon kickoff on the BTN?

I posted this yesterday and was told I was an asshat by a Georgia Congressman

quote:

Sure did...if you got a problem with it, email your congressman.

He just laughed and said "that sms151t; what an asshat!"

He is a smart man then, better vote for him again.

Pretty sure BTN picks their games before the season and every team in the league has to play on the network at least once. Looks like no one anticipated Wisconsin being ranked this high

Probably not good for a 9-6 game to be nationally televised.

Chart needs to be edited so that the CBS game lasts from 3:30 to 9 pm.

BTN is huge network. They will get the ratings they want, especially for the target audience. Fox is loving having this game on one of their networks.

ABC still could have picked up this game for 3:30pm/2:30pm, but instead went with Penn State/Michigan. That left BTN with Wisconsin/Michigan State.

It's actually too bad as Wisconsin/Michigan State have played some highly-entertaining games over the years.

2012 - Michigan State beats Wisconsin by three in OT
2011 - Wisconsin beats Michigan State by three in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game
2011 - Michigan State beats Wisconsin on a hailmary

In games between 2003 and 2010, Wisconsin and Michigan State traded-off wins.

Really entertaining series, actually.

Penn State is going to get stomped by Michigan.
