As I’m sure you know, coach Jimmy Williams from Episcopal in Baton Rouge passed away today in his early 40’s.

I had the pleasure of watching him play in high school, college and even in a super bowl.

Great man who gave everything back to Baton Rouge and Episcopal. A true scholar/athlete.

Rest In Peace

Kidney cancer, been battling for years. The fact that not many knew of this is a testament to the man he was.

Amazing athlete and an even better person. Humble, smart, caring. Leaves behind a family he cared about dearly.

Terribly tragic news.

What?!?!? I played baseball with Jimmy one year on the LA All Star team if I recall. I played first and he played Center. When he would go in to pitch I would rotate to center since I was second fastest. Dude was lighting fast! Great guy and a huge loss.

Right, also assistant athletic director at EHS for several years.

If he was battling kidney cancer (or colon cancer) for several years, that’s crazy. He could have fooled people that he was in good health through this spring based on his physical appearance.

May he rest in peace

He did. Then was drafted in the 6th round.

I knew Jimmy. He was such genuine person. Always smiling. And such competitor. He will be missed.
