There are a lot of athletes nowadays with the same name.

Yes and no. The name Shaquille means "little one" in Arabic but I'm pretty sure the word is spelled differently in Arabic.

The name became popular right about when Shaq came onto the national scene (1991). There are thousands of Shaquilles that are now 20 to 26 years old.

I treat Marine recruits in my clinic. Seeing the Shaquilles right now. Seen a few Kobes, I'm sure they'll be more. In another 6-7 years the Lebrons will start appearing.
