But don't you think if the Cavs had won the year before the feel and mentality of the second series would have been different?

And Bogut. And Iguodala for game 7.

Exactly. Ppl want to compare back to back Finals as if they happened in a vacuum.

I honestly don't think the 2014 Spurs win if not for the heartbreak in 2013.

This Finals will be markedly different from the last two. Both teams are healthy, James is playing the best ball of his career, and the Warriors are deeper.

Possibly, but even with Lebron being a cut above everyone on the floor, the warriors are the better team. Their style of play is hard to defend. On any given night you have 6 guys who can legitimately take over a game. They don't just beat you with one guy. That's the problem with previous Cavs teams. For them to beat the warriors Kyrie and K Love have to play lights out. For GS to win they just ha e to play team basketball and let the flow of the game determine who shines on any given night, whether it's SC, Thompson, KD or Green. They are so balanced it's hard to stop them.

I wonder the same, except if Currey were healthy and Draymon Green not suspended for game 5.

Did he not play in games 6 and 7?

Also, why does GS get the "Draymond missed game 5 and they lost" excuse when CLE's 3rd best player missed a game in the same series and CLE won by 30? What kind of logic is that?

Cle has Lebron, so they'll always have a chance to win it. However, I just don't see them beating this GS team. Just too much firepower. I think Durant will be unstoppable in that series.

Draymond is much more important to the Warriors than Love is to the Cavs, especially in that series. Love had games where he only played 25, 21, and 12 minutes in the finals.

Or now game 6 would have gone last year if the NBA didn't suspend Draymoand when leBron was starting and talking shite all night to Curry and Green in game 5.

LeBron scored 41 in Game 5 when Green was suspended in a Cavs blowout win. LeBron scored 41 in Game 6 when Green was playing in a Cavs blowout win.

This, more than anything else, is why the Cavs won the series. Golden State poked the bear and he got angry.

ETA: Kyrie Irving catching fire in the last three games also helped.

You can't tell me that LeBron didn't play Game 5 with some hatred on his mind after those guys called him soft. He was out to send a message and he did. He was the best player on the floor and he just punished Golden State, and particularly Curry, from that point forward.

You can't tell me that LeBron wasn't at max motivation in game 5 regardless of some comments from the GS team.

It did not make him try harder or be more locked in. He was already at max motivation and effort, he couldn't ramp it up any more than it already was.

You say that as if being down 3-1 isn't enough to make you try your hardest.

Fwiw, I'm not saying it didn't motivate him. I'm saying players will use anything to get to max motivation, so if those comments never happened, he'd still find something else to make him just as motivated, like being down 3 games to 1.

They need that, plus Kevin Love contributing heavily this time. They do that every game, they can win this.

But Love's such a question mark against this team. It's hard to imagine him playing like they need him to but it's not impossible.

You seent Love's aggression on defense recently?

He knows what he has to bring for the Cavs to be successful against GS. I think he has bought in.
