I somewhat agree, but nothing about Condi indicates that she wouldn't do a bang up job.

I'd love to see her discuss football with you. She'd probably make you look like a little girl.

So she can tell me what the strong safety's responsibility is in a Cover 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5? Doubt it.

She has the credentials in terms of education, experience on the stage of big events; and,she has a history of employing both diplomacy and power.

She appeals to both political sides: she is black and a woman which the left appreciates, but she is a fiscal conservative and hawkish on Americas place in the world and how to maintain it. Still, I just can't see those 32 old white men letting it happen.

I wonder if the players would regard her as a poser because she has never suited up? I'd like to hear all arguments for and against.

She probably knows more about that than Goodell.

I would support this strongly.

Although, I would support ANYONE over Goodell right now.

Capehart
is a joke, particularly when it comes to this topic. okay:

1. What does Capehart know about the NFL or even football in general? Nothing he's ever said or written, that I know of, indicates he has the requisite knowledge to make this judgment.

2. Is this the best Capehart can come up with to argue that Condi should be commish? "Rice really loves football, especially because of its similarities to military strategy. “I really consider myself a student of the game,” Rice told the Times in that 2002 interview. “I find the strategy and tactics absolutely fascinating.” And in talking about why she coveted the gridiron gig, the foreign policy expert who served two presidents and was provost of Stanford University said, “I think it would be a very interesting job because I actually think football, with all due respect to baseball, is a kind of national pastime that brings people together across social lines, across racial lines. And I think it’s an important American institution.”"

Seriously? That's what she's got. I find chess strategy and tactics fascinating, but nobody is trying to make me Chess King, because that alone does not qualify me.

3. This is just a troll job. I don't need to explain why.

I have to stop consuming media. it's making me extremely frustrated with American life.

May have more to do with being a Bama fan than lacking knowledge.

Who runs the cover 5 anymore besides flag football?

but seriously this is not that hard and the SS role can change depending on the package and actual play call..
I bet she could do this easily as I would figure with most people who watch the game

EDIT: maybe if we start talking about the intricacies of Cover 7 that Saban or Greg Williams run or the other man-zone defenses, we can really start dissecting football.

I'm all for it. Ms. Rice. She's quite capable.
