How did VY do this year?
Its a team game. The Titans won inspite of, not because of VY.
5-2 pre VY IR

1-8 after.

God damnit im pissed, and I am a titans fanb without any texas connection.

A houston radio station was breaking down his record as a starter, its under .500, 13-14 vs teams with winning record according to them, I don't feel like checking it out.

I laugh at the media for using these kinds of metrics to "prove" a theory.

For comparison, let's look at the records of other QBs vs. teams with .500+ records over the past few years.

Drew Brees record against .500+ teams: 24-24
Rivers: 24-24
Ryan: 14-14
Flacco: 13-14
Romo: 18-20
Eli: 23-31
Rodgers: 11-16
Cutler: 14-24
Palmer: 14-31

VY may be immature and it probably is time for him to leave Nashville, but I've never seen the media absolve a coach as mediocre as Jeff Fisher of blame for a clusterfrick of a season. But 5 playoff wins in 17 years gets you a free pass these days.

War rush to judgments.

Half the LSU fanbase bashed JR when he was the LSU QB.

I wouldn't say half but I get your point. I guess it was either a love or a hate type of thing. There are still some people on the rant that blame Oakland and not JR. I thought he was good but not a first rounder much less #1. To his defense he looks a lot better when comparing him to the current ones.

It wasn't "the media" he sucks off Vince every chance he gets*

The guy that came up with was only squashing the VY fan boys that go on and on about VY's "record" as a starter.

The one's we should laugh at are the VY defenders that dodge the fact team went 13-3 with Collins and got one round further in the playoffs or they answer that they were 0-6 last year until Vince started. Awesome, he beat a bunch of scrubs when the season was over.

Oakland was not a good spot, but clearly JR did not work hard enough. He has all the skills to be a great QB, sadly he doesn't understand or care that that doesn't matter, everyone has those skills in the NFL. A couple of rantards defending him is not in the same league as the collective love UT fans have for Vince.

I guess you are right, if he had done what VY did in college it would probably be closer to the same. I never knew until recently how much Texans like VY.

instead it was the opposite, we won after he left, so many people (not me) give Flynn the credit, even though they had the same record in 2006 as they did in 2007.

Most LSU fans knew exactly what JR was. Loads of physical ability with no work ethic what so ever. I did not see hardly any taking up for him blindly the way UT people do.

Actually, he came close to making the titans the first team to ever go to the playoffs after an 0-6 start. It wasnt until a loss to the colts, who were elite that year, finally derailed them that hope was lost.

I know this, I have watched every titans game for the past 4 years.

So he is 30-17 as a starter, 13-14 against .500+ teams. Lets do a little math.

(30, 17) -(13, 14) = 17-3 against sub .500 teams.

We aint done yet!

Lets get this in winning percentages.

That is, So 13/27 = 0.481

and 17/20 = 0.850

Now, let us go one step forward and calculate the number of games won per year with him as the QB. Ofcourse for average sake, lets split +.500 and sub .500 teams per year down the middle.

That is, (0.481)(8) + (0.85)(8) = 3.85 + 6.8 = 10.65 wins per season.

Just as a reference, 30/47 * 16 = 10-.21 per season.

The small difference is because he underwent a tougher schedule.

Yes I aam pissed, Vince was winning here.

and don't forget the Xmas massacre by San Diego. That's weird, Vince the "winner" lead the team to a bunch of wins over scrubs and got smashed by the top 2 teams in the AFC.

Yet another attempt by VY fanboys to ignore the 2008 season by bringing up the 2009 season.

Please read the numbers I posted before trying to argue with me. Oh and those numbers by other big-time QBs against .500+ teams.

You are digging yourself a hole.

Are there really any scrubs in the NFL? I think you need to be a little more objective as well and admit that VY does indeed have NFL type talent and does belong.
