quote:

Six years after entering the NFL as the third player taken in the draft, Vince Young finds himself without a team and with just a fraction of the money he received from a contract that guaranteed him $26 million.

quote:

Young is suing his former agent, Major Adams, and a North Carolina financial planner, Ronnie Peoples, alleging that they misappropriated $5.5 million. In some instances, the pair forged his signature or impersonated him on the phone or in emails, according to the lawsuit, filed in Houston in June.

quote:

Peoples claims in the countersuit that every decision he made was approved by Keith Young. And he calls Vince Young's unwillingness to accept responsibility "a common occurrence ... as (former Titans coach) Jeff Fisher, (Texas coach) Mack Brown, numerous NFL executives, coaches, teammates, scouts, girlfriends and illegitimate children will attest."

He still has his steakhouse in Austin, I wonder if it will close down now?

Not surprised he's broke. Dude is dumber than a bag of hammers.

I also don't really care that he's broke. Seemed like a bit of an a-hole to me.

Any athlete that hires their "friend" to be their agent will be broke in a matter of years. Imbeciles.

That sucks, if he gets good some coaching he definitely could make a come back as a backup/seat warmer.

He would probably also need to learn how to accurately throw a football.

Shocker.
I have an idea, any pro athletes reading this contact me; I'll manage your money for much less than what you pay these people.
I also have no experience handling millions of dollars, but I guarantee you'll still have it in 10 years if you let me handle it, because I WON'T SPEND IT

Shoot me an email all you pro athletes reading this tiger1242td@yahoo.com
