Reporter on the news just now “it’s 2024 and it feels like the 60s”…. I mean really guy? I’d maybe ask some of your elders about the racism they actually faced vs. someone possibly shouting a slur from their car and having the whole state trip over themselves to apologize for it.

Meanwhile 80 years ago kids their age were storming beaches and working 16 hours in a factory making tanks.
It’s gotten so commonplace that now anytime someone cries racism we all assume it’s a hoax….bc it usually is

I don't know how anyone with any grasp on humanity could read this story and think "that's impossible! No way that could ever happen!"
The world is full of idiots and assholes, most of us should know better than to assume what they are capable of. Hell, just the P Diddy story from this week should prove that people are capable of insane shite.

No, the people that did it probably aren't even racist. Probably part of the "it's just a prank" crowd
It is weird how some people in this thread have to rush out like a PR team to deny/downplay that it happened though. We saw a picture of the team and most of them are white. If it didn't happen one of them would've told someone

Nobody is thinking or saying this at all. It’s boy who cried wolf. Cases like this have been proven to be fake, race baiting stories, so people are getting tired of that and skeptical when each one comes out.

People claiming it's fake when they don't have proof means they think it is impossible.
On the other hand I believe it could've happened cuz i def could've tried to pull some shite like that if I thought I could get away with it without being identified in my younger days.

Both were the sole witnesses of their claims. The utah women's team is a group of 15+ players and coaches. I'd be more skeptical if one player on the team claimed it rather than saying it happened while the whole team was outside the restaurant

OK and when their season is over (probably this week) what will keep them from coming forward with the truth? Are there no seniors on the team? Your theory relies on 20+ college females all keeping a secret

How much credibility are you assigning to this scenario you've made up in your head vs the statement of the 20+ coaches, players, cheerleaders, AD and the police report they filed (which would be a crime if it was false).
90%? 50%? 1%?
Id admit there's probably a 1%ish chance it's all made up because bitches are crazy. But it's such a big distraction when their team is trying to win a tournament game that a coach would have to be crazy to follow through with it. All it would take is one girl to come out and tell the truth (if they made it up) and they have filed a false report and all lose their jobs.
These girls have played ball all their life, you don't think a single player would blame their coach for creating this huge distraction before the biggest game of their life if they lost (if it was made up) ?

Lol @ the downvotes and no rebuttal because you know it wouldn't make any sense for a team of majority white chicks to go along with a hoax that's only purpose would be to distract them before the biggest game of their lives and "make whitey look bad"
Also, very confident of them to wait until the second week of the tourney to come up with this hoax, if they wouldve got knocked out last week they wouldve missed their chance.

You keep thinking it’s some elaborate hoax that everyone is in on. I’m not saying that. But if someone may have heard something racist then people will follow along becuase everything is racist always and nobody will say differently.
