Another great matchup in the AAC this weekend. Memphis hosts a VERY dangerous 6-1 Navy team at 7pm on ESPN2. I know everybody talks about Memphis, Houston and Temple, but Navy is right there with them! Navy's only loss is to Notre Dame...a game in which they competed in. Can Navy pull the upset? We all know that Navy is a pain to prepare for. Navy's QB is a legit playmaker. Nobody is talking about this game. I think it could be a great game and would be another quality win for Memphis should they prevail. Thoughts?

I have Navy winning this game. Purely a hunch, but the option offense, to me seems pretty unpredictable. I think Navy has success on the ground and pulls the upset.

OSU will not be the #1 seed at the end of the season.

I could see them being the #2, but then Memphis would have to be #3 and that is so far fetched I can't even fathom what kind of chaos it would take for that to happen

Im not sure if its that complicated. Ole Miss winning out and winning the SEC would probably just about do it

I love Navy. Have family who are USNA grads and been to many games.

At first I thought you were crazy, but looking at their schedule it could be a pretty good game. They won pretty convincingly against ECU and Air Force. Still, I think Memphis is too much.

Ohio State is concerned with Memphis because OSU knows Memphis has played/will play the tougher schedule.

I'm not hating on Memphis here...actually quite the opposite. I think Memphis is very deserving. Lynch is an absolute stud who wouldn't mind having on the Browns. I think the AAC is a perfect storm this year. I'm actually highlighting the fact that there are more than just Memphis, Houston and Temple in the AAC. There are some other solid teams as well...Navy is at the top of that list. I think this is going to be a great last 4 weeks of the AAC season. The playoff committee made it clear that they think more of Memphis than the AP or Coaches.

I am hoping for that upset.

As a Navy fan I am seeing Navy as the sleeper in the AAC that is getting quite a bit of credit this season.

It is quite predictable...but can it be stopped?

It is unpredictable in a way that it is difficult for schools to prepare for it in a weeks time when facing more traditional offenses.

It is very predictable. The only unpredictable part of it is when they change the blocking of it, but it is still very easy to read.

The hardest part of playing an option team is being disciplined enough not to chase the ball.

I guess that's what I was driving at. Some weeks it is unsuccessful and others it looks like the greatest offense in the world

I just had a feeling Navy was going to pull this off. Navy is a dam good team. Their only loss is a competitive loss to Notre Dame. Tough loss for Memphis!

The triple option was too predictable for Memphis.

Just read that if Navy is in the hunt as top-ranked group of 5 team after AAC Championship, the final CFP rankings would be delayed a week until after Army-Navy.

Want to see this.

If Navy wins out (including @Houston and likely Temple in title game), no reason they aren't right there.
