UNLV has options they can recruit late bloomers, late qualifiers, JUCO kids, and take transfers from other schools.

Duke and Rice don't have options if a kid is any good at all and is an A+ student they probable have a dozen offers and aren't giving Duke or Rice the time of day

And we put together the best starting 5 to play in the NCAA. Don't even compare the Fab 5 to them. I had good times going to every home game, the Final Four, and the Championship that year...

BTW, does anyone have that pic of Tarkanian with Brady in an LSU sweater? A pic like that with him would go right up there with Johnson and Augmon picking me up to dunk the ball when I was in elementary school.

Poor facilities, many west coast schools get the second tier players from southern California that UNLV used to get. It is now lower level recruits and transfers that compromise the team. Never was a power house but was respectable. No they just suck.
