No, that honor belongs to the Greater New Orleans area at the moment.

And for those who think Tenn doesn't have equal/better facilities than Nebraska you are a moron, tenn facilities are on par with the best in America

I apologize for striking a nerve. I was under the impression that Neyland Stadium was old and outdated. How's the indoor facility and weight room? I was always under the impression that the University of Nebraska had a gigantic, top-notch weight room. They've got a pretty nice locker room...

NOLA has been producing better top end talent for almost a decade. "South Florida" certainly has more talent, by pure numbers. But then again, you're comparing a city to a region at that point.

1) Miami - still has the state of florida to recruit. They are in the ACC. Florida State is the team to beat out for powerhouse.

2) Nebraska - They are in the Big 12. They have big teams but most are beatable. Running game can win this conference. Ohio State is showing a high flying offense right now which they will be the big team to beat out to be a powerhouse right now.

3) Tennessee - As said before they were never a powerhouse. But in order to be a powerhouse they have to beat out other teams that have a history of winning. Florida will return to be a contender eventually. Georgia has been solid in the east. Missouri has been impressive as the new kid. Should they get past those teams they have to play an Alabama, Auburn, LSU to win the SEC. Way more hurdles than the other two teams.

Lame excuse. Nebraska has had great players in the past, and coaches will go where the money is. Do you think Nebraska is any worse of a place to live than Oklahoma or fricking Mississippi or Alabama? By your logic, Hawaii should be a powerhouse.

Miami has the easiest path to relevance due to recruiting base and competing in the ACC.

Thanks for displaying your ignorance.

Here's a look at the Peyton Manning locker room.

Here's a look at the latest Neyland renovations.. (with more coming to finish the older parts of the stadium)

Here's a quick look at the brand new 145k square foot Anderson training facility..

The facility is home to coaches' offices, meeting rooms, therapy rooms, hydrotherapy, a restaurant, a nutrition bar, a player's lounge, and is getting a barber shop sometime soon.

What stands? Miami doesn't have any stands. That shite program doesn't even have a stadium. They will never be back.

Lol

quote:

Miami's Dade County, with a heavy concentration of upper-classification high schools, produced 27 of South Florida's 57 picks. The Los Angeles area ranked second with 42 picks over the last three drafts, followed by Dallas/Fort Worth (27), Houston (26) and Metro Atlanta (22). Not surprisingly, state rankings over the same period reflected a similar theme. Florida led the way with 104 draft picks, followed by California (84) and Texas (82).

So miami, LA, DFW, Houston, Atlanta > Nola in the last 3 years. Going back further will reflect much more of the same. Don't worry, you always have the "per capita" card up your sleeve. May be time to lay it on the table.

stop being a homer

As I suspected, if we go back further, you are still very very wrong

Miami never was a big draw for fans. It always had shitty facilities. None of that ever mattered to local south Florida recruits. It wasn't that long ago Miami was great, and it wouldn't take much to bring it back.

I'm not buying the notion that Nebraska is DOA right now.

Even with average coaching they were able to have 9-10 wins a year and were just outside of the top 10 and a win or 2 away from being in the title race.

In 2009 Nebraska was :01 away (and arguably screwed over) from defeating Texas which made the BCS title game.

I think Nebraska is actually quite close to returning to be a perennial top 10 or top 15 team year in, year out.

Hell no. Glad to see Nebraska out of that dumpster fire of a conference. BIG Ten is a way better conference for Nebraska than the Big XII ever was.
