Given the NCAA let them skate despite mountains of evidence that they committed academic fraud for 20 years.

"Will forever tarnish the NCAA?" Aren't you the sensationalist. I'd be willing to be the farm that everybody cheats in some form or fashion.

Eddie Muenster did his fair share of cheating down in Gainesville. You are standing in a glass house throwing rocks, TJ.

I thought the NCAA was already pretty tarnished before last night.

Not really. I don't believe they had a competitive advantage last night because of "paper" classes. They absolutely deserve punishment but it doesn't tarnish anything the team accomplished this season.

UNC basketball isn't the only program to make a mockery of academics. The one and done rule does a good job of that.

No one respects the NCAA at this point regardless of UNC's case.

The NCAA letting Penn St. out of their sanctions because they don't give a frick about sexually abused children and a culture of enabling and cover ups.

Was a criminal case that the NCAA has no jurisdiction over.

That has no bearing on institutional control. The NCAA makes up rules for to violate all the time.

Institutional control? What?

You are reaching. If you cite Baylor that was a murder case that ended up being a extra benefit case as they were giving scholarships out and having coaches pay for schools.

If you can show where Penn St got any competitive advantage or fixed grades, then the NCAA would be okay, but they went for blood, over reached and knew it.

You don't feel the ncaa should punish schools athletic programs whose athletes/coaches are fricking kids and covering it up?

If it is a criminal case that does not involve any advantage, no.

Should LSU been put on probation for Cecil Collins breaking into homes? Should FSU be put on probation if Jameis was found guilty of rape?

Again, the child part of it is where people go for blood, but it is a criminal not NCAA case. The guys who were criminals got what they deserved.

Those refs were obviously corrupt, but very few people will care or remember. That flagrant foul was total bullshite.
