I am not even sure he was comitted to that takedown attempt though. He caught the leg and neither fighter is sweaty that early. JDS may have twisted out of it, but I'm not sure Cain was committed to following through when he had the leg though.

Reem would definitely have to keep distance with his kicks. Not entirely sure he could, but maybe. His kness when JDS steps in would be a big weapon and if he could get clinches.

greatest HW striking bout ever!!!

if by that you mean, it would last approximate 60-65 seconds with one guy going down like a dead duck then yeah it should kick arse...

I'll take JDS over the Reem, all day long. I think he beats him before they step in the ring.

I'll get blasted but I've always thought Overeem is mentally weak compared to top level fighters. The fear of JDS hands will cause him to crumble once he gets touched. Cain hit him pretty hard tonight, not nearly as impressed with Reem's chin.

In the past when Overeems been in trouble, he's kinda just given up. That's been one of his biggest issues, along with stamina. We haven't really seen either situation lately, so who knows if he's moved pass those flaws. Like I states earlier, if Reem fights smart, he can win. He's got to keep the distance with his kicks. When in close, he's gotta clinch and use the knees.

Speaking of stamina... If Brock can keep from getting knocked out early, we're probably talking about Cain vs Reem. I think I'd feel even more comfortable betting on Cain coming off the loss.

Uh.... You must not know much about Gilbert Yvel.

He may be a mediocre MMA fighter, but His kick boxing and Muay Thai as very good. Had he fought JDS smart, he would have had a good chance of winning. I'll gladly put my MMA knowledge against yours any day.

I think only showing one fight, along with going up against Stanford-Oregon game, hurt. The production pretty much sucked. It was what I would expect from Fox.
