I agree with the consensus that only Chael could replace Joe Rogan. Rogan's just way too good at maintaining excitement through the fight, telling it like it is, and hyping a fight.

I agree about Joe. I like Chael, but he doesn't have that same excited style as Joe. I like Jimmy Smith and Mauro. Even though Mauro doing UFC would feel weird.

It's not just that. In addition to the intangibles that his stand up career brings in terms of sounding comfortable, being relaxed, going with the flow, being quick on his feet, etc.
Joe's immense knowledge of the sport, his lightening fast call of the action is matched by none else, he often calls out the end of fights before they happen, he rattles off the names of positions, attacks, and explains the defense and tactics seamlessly.
I've grown to really respect the way he calls fights, no one else is close.

People who do not understand the intricacies of the sport don't realize the greatness of Joe. His combination of knowledge of and excitement for the sport are unmatched and irreplaceable IMO.
