Yeah i dont get people shitting on the main event unless they want another boring jon iones fight, who hasnt fought but 1 time in 4 years and has 1 finish in the last 6 years.

Or mcgregor who hasnt won a fight in 4 years and got destroyed by poirier in his last two fights.

It would be a good card, if the past 2 PPV's didn't completely outshine it.

Seems a bit underwhelming for 300

Should be good but the Star Power just isn't what it was for the last 2 Milestone Shows.

200
Tate vs Nunes
Lesnar vs Hunt
Cormier vs Silva
Aldo vs Edgar
Velasquez vs Browne

100
Lesnar vs Mir
St. Pierre vs Alves
Henderson vs Bisping
Jon Jones on the fricking prelims

Really hoping Oliveira gets a title fight/rematch with Makhachev.

The problem with 300, is that you have 2 title fights no one really cares that much about. The BMF Title is between two people who should never be matched up against each other. And the rest of the main is decent and could have been on the under card of 299. Under card is fine, but 299's was better. It's not a bad card, but if you were going to set up a PPV for a historic 300, you might want to shuffle things around so you don't get caught holding the bag when the big money fights you thought 300 could get...go up in smoke.

It’s a tough fight vs Armen and I don’t think he wants a rematch with Islam. His manager already putting out a desire to fight Conor after this.

Exactly, Oliveira had a rematch vs. Islam all set up and then withdrew over the cut on his eyebrow from sparring. So why didn't Charles just demand to have it rescheduled? Or insist that he is the next fight for Islam? Chael Sonnen has also speculated that, for whatever reason, Charles doesn't want the rematch vs. Islam. Maybe he felt something during the first fight that he knows he can't match, Islam's strength or something. It would be strange if he's doubting himself, I honestly thought he could beat Islam.

They must have offered Gaethje a lot of money to fight Max for 300. He would have been next vs. Islam otherwise. Gaethje even said that a title is the only thing left for him, so him taking the Max fight is surprising.

Not to say that Gaethje and Poirier are interchangeable, but if Poirier gets a title match vs. Islam because Gaethje took the Max fight, I'd be equally excited for Poirier vs. Islam. Has a nice angle to it where Islam is the spiritual successor to Khabib, so Dustin would get a shot at redemption and a championship title.

The crowd roar after Dustin knocked out BSD was so loud--thrilling win, awesome win for Poirier. Legendary, put a hard stamp on it with that last punch, application denied.

I dont think charles or gaethje want islam first. gaethje was just saying that if charles wins he gets the next shot and then gaethje would fight the winner in december.

poirier is the only one actually saying he wants islam so I feel he will jump the line and fight him at INT fight week or in newark maybe. also I had a feeling when he started rocking bud light he was trying to get some favor with the UFC and would get the fight. I do hope dustin wins and we can get vs gaethje 3, both guys didnt seem to want to lose more brain cells unless it was a title fight.

the belts really dont matter to me other than I like seeing people reach that pinnacle. this card is loaded down with great matchups with the majority of the card holding a belt at some point in their career.

I hope for Gaethje's sake that the timing works out, but I don't see how it can. Islam wants to fight in June, I'd be surprised if Charles would agree to fight Islam in June after fighting Tsarukyan this Saturday. So that means the earliest Charles would fight Islam is probably in the fall. Or maybe Charles fights Islam in December. Either way, Gaethje wouldn't get a shot until next year on that timeline.

Does Gaethje want that long of a layoff? And who would he even fight in the meantime if he wants to stay active?

Something else, I guess we can't just assume that Charles is going to win vs. Tsarukyan. Things might change a lot depending on who wins that fight.

Poirier vs. Islam in June at International Fight Week might be more likely than not at this point.

yeah I dont understand gaethje sometimes. I really think all those wars has taken some sense off him. not only that but he puts his foot in his mouth talking shite about the ufc and ends up in a bmf fight instead of a title fight.
