But seriously nothing about that sign should have produced a kerfuffle. Nothing.

Flat out ridiculous.

some of the more liberal schools like Cal and Stanford

Stanford is not a liberal University. Cal and Ucla are uber liberal; Stanford and USC lean right. There is a big difference between the public and private schools in California.

I thought one of the mandatories for being a cheerleader at a lot of schools is being able to do a standing backflip. That alone should take care of the "body type" requirement without saying "you can't be fat". Though I will say that if a fatty can do a standing backflip, that's something I'd be incredibly entertained by on a football Saturday.

Guys aren't strong enough to throw fatties in the air. For competive college cheerleading you can't even be that tall.

You're not thinking creatively. That fat chick could be one throwing the little chicks in the air.

I didn't read the article, but looking at the picture I cannot figure out what the complaint is.

I think you can expect cheerleaders to be skinny, and girls and cute, and some BS about "westernized standard of beauty" is pretty bad.

But you gotta be smarter than specifying skin tone on a poster.

I think that's hair.

The "Tryout Look" said nothing about shaving your legs.
