My wife taught her in elementary school. Said she was a really sweet child. A shame, but I do question why a 15 year old is out on campus at 4am.

She was beloved and popular at her high school. Lafayette HS is rocked today with the news. She was a straight A student and was great track athlete. They said she was at the wrong place that had noting to do with the shootout. Happen to catch a bullet in her neck.

Which is why she shouldn't be out at 4am 1) 15 yr olds generally make dumb decisions 2) 15 yr olds make REALLY dumb decisions with little, or no sleep
I blame the mom. Dad lives in Fla, so he has little say. A 15 year old should NEVER be out with similarly retarded friends after midnight. She posted hrs before her death that people were already shooting. And made the decision to hang around. Very, very poor decision
But she should have never been allowed to be in that spot, at that time, to even have to make that decision.
Plus, she may not have someone willing to give her a ride home. Another problem for the mom that allows her non-driving 15 yr old to be out without the ability to make better decisions
