She was hit in crossfire. 2 vehicles rode by and the thugs inside shot at each others vehicles, she was hit as a bystander. So sad.

It'd be about be equivalent of going to a midnight movie than Steak and Shake afterwards, which I definitely did at 15.
From all accounts though, she was a good kid. Sadly, it sounds like she was caught in some crossfire. Prayers to her friends and family.

I ran track in high school and we had practice every day at 5 am. Early morning workouts for track runners are very common.

There are frequently protests when bystanders are killed. You don't hear about because the media doesn't cover it. It takes the rare white-on-black crime for that.
