Junior Seau didn't live to see his induction, and Mick Tingelhoff had to have Fran Tarkenton give his speech for him.

Get paid money to slam your head hard and fast into other players head and I don't have sympathy for you having head issues eventually

Well, I mean, it's a violent game.

You know this going in.

Student debt ratio to income isn't what it used to be.

"Go into a profession where your job is to apprehend criminals and thugs, and I don't feel bad when you get shot."

See how fricking dumb your logic is?

Not to mention, it's just now becoming widely known just how damaging these injuries are long term. It doesn't have to be like this, nor should it.

Not nearly as bad as your analogy

Then it should be easy to tell me the difference between a cop being killed in the line of duty and a football player developing a head injury which leads to death? Both are circumstances that they're "aware of" when they sign up for the job?

One makes a lot of money, so why feel bad for him huh?

I'll help you out though. One profession is necessary for society, one isn't. Also one risk is preventable or able to be mitigated, the other is much harder to do.

Agreed. Not sure what we would do without football.

Add Charles Haley with his bipolar disorder. So there are actually three.

Junior killed himself and we say that is because he got hit in the head. Who hit Robin Williams in the head?

No one knows if getting hit in the head is what caused Junior to kill himself. Maybe not playing football made him depressed. If he hadn't played football perhaps any traumatic event would have led him down the same path. For example, his wife leaves him, someone close to him dies, or he is financially ruined might have caused him to commit suicide.

Good point. Also, what if God were one of us, just a slob like one of us?

Seau Diagnosed with CTE

Pretending that Seau didn't have cognitive issues most likely due to the trauma of playing football for most of his life is willful ignorance. Where you go from there is up to you, but ignoring this starting point beggars belief.
