Luis Garcia and Phil Maton both pitched immaculate innings in the same game against the Rangers. They both did it against the same 3 hitters.

An immaculate inning is three times more rare than a no-hitter.

A feat that will never, ever be accomplished again.

That's insane. I don't think I've ever seen one while watching a game.

Cool. What's an immaculate inning?

Did each batter get fertilized from the mound without penetration? Which pitcher gets credit as the father, Luis or Phil?

If you’re one of those 3 hitters you’ve gotta retire.

It's when a priest comes and blesses you before you take the field like the Cubs did before the 2008 NLDS

Nate Lowe, Ezequiel Duran, Brad Miller.

Lowe is a good hitter usually, hitting .281 but he does strike out a little more than league average.

Duran is a rookie hitting over .300 in 10 games so far also striking out a little more than league average.

Miller is a veteran who is right around league average for his career.
