Grambling is a good FSC team. Would have beaten Arizona last year if their QB (ole miss transfer) didn't get injured

Grambling is a terrible FCS team trust me they'd get blasted in any league other than the SWAC

Ok. I actually follow SWAC teams. I went to a SWAC school. They have one of the best QBs at the FCS level, as well as several transfers from some FBS schools. Besides James Madison, NDSU, the Montana schools and a few others, they can hang with anyone in the FCS.

the announcers said one of their players either started at bama or was a recruit but could not qualify. better than anything tulane recruits.

They can't hang with anyone in FCS they'd get demolished I know about FCS Grambling would get demolished that's why SWAC MEAC always get ranked so low in playoffs and they decided to go to a "bowl" game.

I worked for a FCS football team and SWAC teams are ludicrous. I'm not saying they don't have a player or two but they are garbage.

I follow FCS and wait until Monday and come in the weekly thread please.

They decided to skip the playoffs for the Celebration Bowl because they make more money from it. ESPN gives them more money than they will make from a playoff game. Teams can lose money in the playoffs & nobody shows up at those games unless they are traditional FCS powers. Why go through all of that when you can play in Mercedes-Benz Stadium & get a nice check from ESPN?

I'm not blaming them for doing it. But they have no shot winning a playoff game which is why they did it originally.

Actually they skipped the playoffs due to the Classic made more money then ESPN added the bowl.

wasn't Grambling like 11-1 and gave a scare to Arizona?

Pretty sure they could hold their own in the FCS playoffs

It's Grambling so take it with a grain of salt, but I want Fritz to be successful. Dude is a pure winner.

Didn't say they would win the championship, but I'm pretty sure they've been in the FCS poll

They're in it right now. #21

Are you basing this on last years Grambling team? Most years you are correct, but every once in awhile one of these SWAC schools is legit.
