Problem is that it's difficult to say anything after these kind of rumors start because someone will get offended or read something else into it. Rumors about Troy and Steve Young have been around a long time. Probably most are because they don't flaunt their personal life and busy bodies have nothing better to do than make up drama.

It blows my mind that people still watch that show. There are so many better ways to get information on the sport you follow.

As a young white adult, I felt like the show was trying to target my audience

i dont share his views, but honestly i love seeing guys speak how they really feel, PC or not. If he hates gays, so be it. It's not really affecting me

Skip was run out of Chicago also. He wrote for awhile at the Chicago Tribune in the late 90s early 00s. Sometimes he would have a decent column and sometimes he would write crap.

But we need to get beyond the idea that someone's sexuality matters in sports. Who cares what a person does with another consenting adult?Whether it's gay or straight it shouldn't matter one bit. If you think it's wrong then fine keep it to yourself or share it with people who agree with you and don't give others grief if their sexuality is different from yours.

Bayless was a slanderous douche back in the day. He wrote a book about Tom Landry that basically pisses on his grave, saying he was hated by many players and was a soulless a-hole who put on the upstanding religious façade in public but was a cold-hearted bastard behind close doors.

Basically everyone who ever knew Landry spoke out against it, including the players who supposedly hated him.

That's pretty much true. Landry was really an a-hole. His religious thing was phony.

I'd say Aikman did a pretty good job of letting that story whither on the vine if I'm only hearing about it now.

I never thought Aikman was gay, and never even heard the rumor until now so, Aikman's strategy kind of worked. Skip's an arse, his self-written Wiki page lmao
