Travis Gregory Stano said the "Super Team" concept is the best thing to ever happen to the NBA and that we need more of it. He said the problem is that there are too many teams and not enough top level talent to support enough Super Teams, so it would be best to just contract to 8 teams so every team could be a super team full of top level talent at all positions. No more situations like Giannis dying on the vine in Milwaukee, he would be put on a team that can compete.

He said the 8 teams that would remain NBA level would be New York, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia(Eastern Conference) and Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago, Golden State, and Dallas(Western Conference). He said only big market teams should remain and that NBA players hate playing for small market teams because to them the city and night life is just as important as the team itself. No longer would top players have to suffer in markets like Utah with no nightlife.

The other 22 teams contracted would still serve their place in a lower division that would be used to groom players(like a D-League) and the best players in those leagues would be drafted each year by the 8 NBA tier teams. All rookies would be sent to this league upon exiting high school/college and must play a year in this league before being eligible to be drafted by the main league.

What do you think of this idea?

Damn, I was about to shite all over it until I got to the last paragraph.

Relegation/promotion. I brought this up in a previous thread.

Lakers would be in

That's another point Travis touched on when pitching this concept. He said its an absolute shame when big teams like the Lakers are down and at the bottom of the standings. He said this system would ensure teams like the Lakers are always relevant.

Yeah, I'm sure that would be great for the league. Not.

With relegation added in and fully flushed out, This could work. I really only watch the NBA playoffs anyways.

I'm not sure if you can suffer on a 100 million contract. This idea is incredibly dumb though.

God I caught this jerk's show the other night in the car and I was fuming. That son of a bitch wants to reduce the size of the NFL and also move the Saints to Munich. I would have called in if I could but my phone was dead and my knuckles were white I was gripping the steering wheel so hard.
