tOSU @ IU question for Buckeye Fans

Do you feel you stop Howard or Sudfeld to slow down IU?
I think you shut Howard down and let Sudfeld throw every down. His WR are not as good as last year. Howard's yardage has come from Sudfeld's threat to throw. Even though Sudfeld, IMO, is the best QB in the B1G he can't win it if his WR have to make the plays.
I think IU scores 30 but gives up 63 easily. IU is horrendous on Defense and Elliot will get 200.

Our pass defense has been stellar this year. We've only been beaten once down the field that I recall (last week).
Darron Lee will have to have a solid game getting pressure and being solid in the open field when he gets flexed out into pass coverage.
We got gashed in the A gaps vs Western Michigan, so we are susceptible to inside runs, no doubt. It'll be interesting if we play them straight up, bend don't break, or go after them a lot.

I think people may be shocked to see how good the IU Offense is. They're fun to watch. As fun as the Offense is to watch, the Defense is as painful to watch.

Stats that tell the story:
Indiana offensive rank (yards) - 18th out of 128
Indiana defensive rank (yards) - 118th out of 128

IU will go to a bowl this year. They can win 2 games in the division and they play Purdue. That would be 7 wins.
Problem is if Sudfeld gets hurt then there's not a chance. So please do not hurt him.

Indiana gave up 363 yards to Wake Forest, and that was really good for them.

Indiana has only given up 2 sacks this year thus far.
I haven't watched much of them this year, do they still get the ball out quickly basically negating a pass rush?

I know I watch IU every chance I can. The B1G fans last year were shocked I watched them so much. Even when Zander Diamant was doing his best to make the Offense worse than the Defense.
They are actually good pass pro. They run a hybrid Air Raid and Run n Shoot so they move Sudfeld off the spot also.

Shameless bump to get other tOSU opinions.

I did the best I could, sorry it wasn't enough.

Sudfeld is a great QB with plenty of experience. He makes good decisions and is accurate with the football. He is exactly the type of quarterback that has given our defense problems the last few years. He has to be our focus and what we take away. Our offense should be able to score on their defense plenty, and that will put Indiana in a position where they need to throw the football to keep up. I could see a 55-38 type game very easily. Ohio State's defense has been great so far this year, and if they can continue that it should be a pretty comfortable win. If the offense continues to struggle, there will be some serious concerns in this game.

I think Ohio State wins by 24-32 points.

I mean I think OSU puts 8 guys in the box this week and is able to slow the RB down. He will probably get 100 or so, but I don't think he gets to 150 or over.
OSU got exposed a bit in the middle last week, but they also were playing a lot of 5-6 guys in the box and blitzing. If they play 8 in the box to stop the run and don't leave gaps open, they should have success
Initial prediction is 45-20 Buckeyes

quote:I think that Raekwon was out of position early in the game, whether due to misreads or schematics; he improved as the game went on along with the inside run defense. Hopefully we won't have those issues on Saturday.

Indiana has a stellar offense and an atrocious defense. Neither is very surprising. Indiana has yet to show any strides in improving the defense under Kevin Wilson.
Color me shocked if this game is within 20 points.
Indiana might be 4-0 for the first time in 25 years, but it took some nail-biters against below-average competition to get to that number. When it is all said and done, WKU might be Indiana's best win of the season.
Maryland, Rutgers, and Purdue are three of the four worst teams in the B1G, so Indiana certainly has a good chance to notch three conference wins right there and make themselves eligible for a bowl game (I know six is the magic number, but seven does not hurt).
