Yes, Vince had a terrible game tonight. But what quarterback other than Peyton Manning never has a bad game?

VY's stats from his nine starts this year:

135/226 for 1708 yards (59.7% comp.), 10 TD's and 5 INT's. QB rating of 88.88.

Also 50 rushes for 278 yards and 2 TD's.

Not outstanding by any strech but if VY continues to improve, which he has judging from this season's performance, he can be a solid NFL QB in a running style offense. He will never have elite passing stats, but with Chris Johnson to lean on, he can be effective IMO.

If he sucked they wouldn't have won as many games. His motion is bad, but Rivers has a pretty shitty motion too. No one said anything last week when he was dropping passes in tiny windows. I think you shouldn't let this bother as much as it does.

Vince Young is a shitty QB if you want to consider him in the "traditional" QB sense. You try to make him a pocket passer, he's going to suck. If you allow him to make plays with his feet, throw on the run and improvise, you can certainly win games with him at the QB position. Certainly more than some of the other shitty QBs in this league.

Let's call a Spade a Spade. Vince young is not a good QB. 8-21 for 89 yards 2 picks and a lost fumble, and 1 rushing TD. Drew Brees on a bad day 29-45 for 298 yards and a passing TD. Dude is not an intelligent human and cannot read defenses or a book for that matter.

Depends on your range of what "a good QB" is. Top 5? No. Top 10? Not at the moment. Top 15? Sure. He had a horrible game tonight to be sure but his numbers so far this year place him squarely in the top half of the league.

When it comes to athletics, it doesn't matter. Texas will let in a border line tard if he can meet minimal benchmarks for the NCAA and B12 just as any other school.

I get that you are a Texas fan and want him to do well, but he is the product of the best RB in the NFL. They stack the box which allows hin to have open recivers which he still overthrows, underthrows or throws behind them. He is not a top 15 QB. Take away CJ and he is not even a starter.
