I think they are all pretty even I guess.

So OSU is out in my book for a loss to that terrible VT team.

I have no idea how to choose between the Big 12 schools.

This is big, too. If you want to get overly technical, they will have one less win after tonight, and also one less chance to lose. That could be a factor with a decision this close.

I think Baylor is toast at this point.

It certainly seems that way but the committee (Jeff Long) said they haven't factored in the head to head or conference championships yet. It remains to be seen what happens now that Baylor is adding a quality win over KState, would now have an equal schedule to TCU where head to head is factored in and they consider Baylor the conference champ.

I think they told us who they favor in the Big 12. TCU went in at #3. Beat a bad Iowa State team pretty bad.

I think the Minnesota win is the kicker.

Or they were incredibly smart in planning out their argument for TCU over Baylor

I think that is what they intended. It would have been fine until Ohio State drummed Wisconsin to the point or earning a spot. Now they might have to explain how a team dropped 2 spots after winning by 50 points. I get it but the tcu fan base will shite themselves.

The committee fricked up by putting tcu #3 last week.

This. They were so set on trying to make a point with FSU that they made this mistake. Had they left TCU at 4, then given this week's games I'd have no doubt in my mind that tOSU would pass TCU but by making that move last week their options are kind of limited now.
With that said, based on what we have seen they value the computer system that they are using and OSU isn't getting much love there mainly because of the OOC losses the big ten had early in the season.

Big 12 plays 9 conference games though. They play the extra game in the regular season.

IMO they deserved to be skipped in this scenario.
Big 12 needs a conference championship.

The committee can still do whatever they want.

There is no precedent. There is no accountability at this point.

Whatever they do this year will be the precedent set for the future.

They play 12 games (9 conference games) over 15 weeks. They actually get an extra bye week. Meanwhile, teams that play in conference championship games play 13 games in 15 weeks. Big 12 should be out in my opinion. One less game, three bye weeks for both tcu and baylor. OSU earning it tonight.

But the big 12 can't be punished because teams left for other conferences.

So we wouldn't punish them if they had added SMU and Rice to get to 12?

The big 12 could have added more teams.

Nope, because tonight there would be a possible matchup of TCU and Baylor in a championship game. Then one of them would have deserved to go.

They shouldn't be punished but it is what it is. OSU should also be credited for beating a ranked team in the BIG 10 champ as well, as bad as some think wisconsin is - they're still ranked. 12 wins is more than 11.
